Glutonny wins Ultimate Fighting Arena 2023 on Smash!

It was the great European event all fans of combat video-games were looking forward to! Launched in 2017, the Ultimate Fight Arena, shortened into UFA, took place in Aubervilliers, France, late November. For this fifth edition, no less than eleven tournaments were organised on the various one-on-one fighting video-games that are currently popular.

The gamers’ community then gathered at UFA 2023 to play Street Fighter VI, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mortal Kombat 1 or any of the other video-games. And on top of a cashprize reaching several thousands of euros for each tournament, many championship points could be earned for the competitors reaching the sixteenth place and above.

Among the eleven tournaments, the one taking place on Smash Ultimate obviously attracted the most attention. The very presence of MkLeo, considered one of the world’s best players, was a surprise, but not as big as the performance of Europe’s best player.

Keeping the momentum after his victory at Tera, in September, William “Glutonny” Belaïd signed another amazing performance. At home, he quickly reached the quarters, before chaining three games without losing a single round, to win UFA 2023 on Smash. This should fill him with confidence before facing the Japanese competition, next year.
